Mens Retreat
This last weekend I was honored to emcee our church’s Mens Retreat - actually we call it Men’s Renewal since “men don’t retreat!” During this time with 56 wonderful men who I now call friends, I met people from all walks of life. One of the men was a former client who changed from being an IT professional to insurance broker. Both of which made him miserable. After he took the Career Profile - DISC Assessment (which we sell on our website) and a coaching session with me, it was evident he was a person with a big heart. Looking at his Career Profile, all roads pointing towards healthcare. He took that first step towards healthcare, and began down the path of nursing.
Then…and….Now
During this time at the Renewal, I was able to hear some of his stories of working in the hospital. Some of them were truly amazing. Some of the stories would turn your stomach. Some would break your heart. The common theme was the passion with which he told the story. He absolutely loves his career.
I couldn’t help but be filled with pride knowing I helped this incredible man find his passion, but I am honored that it was more than that. I helped this man change his entire life! His entire life is fuller and more fulfilling.
When you are in a career you love, you will experience the same!
