Attitude, positive spin & a dream job
Seems I’m always advising folks about how to do positive spin. Sometimes it’s external, like what to say when asked the question, “So what have you been doing during these past 7 months since you last worked?” (A good answer, by the way, usually involves the truth, but please don’t tell them the truth if it means you have to say you’ve been sitting around watching bad reality TV!)
Sometimes it’s internal, like when you need to shift your attitude before it sabotages you.
Check out this story and video below. Talk about doing positive spin - this guy does it with his attitude AND his wheels… literally!
Tommy Hollenstein wanted to be an artist since he was a kid. However, when he broke his neck in a mountain biking accident in 1985, he had no idea that his tragedy would lead to his dream job. Tommy creates art with his wheelchair. His beautiful abstracts have attracted much attention, and now his art is shown and sold in galleries all over the world.
Experience is not what happens to you.
It is what you do with what happens to you.
