Multiple Streams of Income
Our Show on Saturday morning featured special guest, Kent Julian. Kent is an author, speaker, and a Career & Life Coach. He really has one of those “portfolio careers”. He is using his talents to have multiple streams of income. We talked briefly on our show about multiple streams of income.
Multiple Streams Of Income
Many people, like Kent, use different talents to bring in extra income. Some are speakers, writers, etc. Some people work 40-hour week jobs, and they spend their weekends selling real estate. Some like to photograph in their evenings. Still others teach classes at night. These are just some examples of multiple streams of income.
Special Skills? Hobbies?
Maybe you love to program computers, make handmade dolls, or brew your own beer. If you have a hobby or special skill that you enjoy using, there are many easy ways to get started. One way is to post your skills or browse projects on a freelance site. Freelance sites match projects with project resources. If you have a special skill in web design, for example, you could browse the freelance site for projects that would be interested in. There are many project sites out there. The two largest are eLance and Guru.
- eLance.com - Similar to eBay, eLance matches projects with resources. Everything from programming and web design to legal document preparation, ghost writing, and translation services.
- Guru.com - According to their site they are the largest freelance site with over 1 million freelancers making over $100M in earnings.
A freelance site may be just the thing to add additional streams of income.
