Get Out Of The Cube

by Jay Markunas, Career Consultant

Let’s face it. No one likes to work in a cubicle. Sure! Up north it is cold in the winter, and a warm cubicle sounds nice. In the south it is hot in the summer, and working inside in the air conditioning sounds good too. With companies focused on cost, cube environments seem to be norm these days. However, there are plenty of careers that aren’t tied to a cubicle.

Yahoo Education just published an article with a few careers that can be an alternative to the dreaded cube environment with good pay. The careers they’ve outlined have an average salary between $38,000 to over $65,000. RN’s, Teachers, Police Officers are just some of the job titles which get the nod from Yahoo. Check out the article (link), and keep these types of careers in mind when you are exploring potential opportunities.
